Worrying Just To Worry

Why Do People Worry?

What is 'worry'?  It's a concern.  A feeling of dread at times.  It's an anxiety that is built upon and obsessed over continually.  It is only when something is found to be true or false does it go away.

Is there something that can be done to stop the 'worry'?  Of course, but most people cannot grasp the simple fact that one should not get or be so emotionally involved in something to be so overwhelmed with worry that it creates anxiety.

What are the situations a person gets into that creates 'Worry'?

Telephone calls in the middle of the night.  Friends saying unusual things to you.  Family not heard of for days or even weeks. And other things in life that could produce anxiety.  The illness of a family member or friend.  The news on television.  Whatever is seen as driving the emotions to the brink of either 'fight or flight' is that moment where the worry begins.  The thought of 'what if' usually begins to scratch its way to the surface as well, causing more anxiety. No one knows what could happen, just that something will, eventually.  Inevitably something does happen which releases that anxiety that causes the worry.

What is the very moment of Worry?

Moments come and go, but for those that are known as 'worry-warts', those moments last forever, it seems.  Some people have anxiety problems stemming from early childhood and it stays with them throughout their lives deep into their adulthood.  Mostly it is when, at a very young age, they experienced something traumatic, causing them to cower away from a situation they had no control over.  The part where they worry is instilled into them at that very moment.  They carry that particular moment with them throughout their lives.

Overcoming Worry?

Doubt. Fear. Trauma. More of the situations around a person causes many of these anxiety problems.  Is there a way to overcome and triumph over worry?  Believe in yourself and not let self-doubt come into mind or heart.  Put your energy into positive things.  Become active.  Do things that will bring a smile to your face and make others smile.  Is that impossible to do?  Only if you allow yourself to believe it is.
